Fifty-nine administrators, teachers and schools nurses from twenty-one school districts across Arkansas attended the two-day Physical Activity, Nutrition and Tobacco (PANT) conference on November 19-20, 2007, at the 4-H Center in Ferndale. The conference was sponsored by the Arkansas Department of Education, Office of Coordinated School Health and lead by Debby Woods, PANT coordinator. As a culminating activity of the conference, each district was given the opportunity to create a grant application for implementing a PANT activity in their district. Fifteen school districts were awarded a $2000.00 grant for the Spring 2008 term. Those schools receiving grants are:
